The Happy Bottom trilogy is written in humorous rhyme, and the characters are brought to life in hilarious, colourful illustrations by the brilliant Robin Edmonds. When hapless Major Payne, in need of a cheap house, meets Wally Coop, a builder of cheep houses, his life is changed forever!

With every rhyme a chapter in a journey, full of fun and adventure, the story will enthral, charm, surprise and, maybe, even scare the reader, just a bit!

Heather Chamberlain, a retired primary school teacher, has crafted a tale inspired by Dorset place names and features, such as the River Piddle, Poole Harbour and Old Harry Rocks, along with creatures that took up residence in her garden. Heather didn’t plan to write a trilogy, then, inspiration knows no bounds!

Reading should be fun, so Heather writes for all ages: the young and the young at heart!
